Here is a small, wall-hung display cabinet. Including a fixed and removable shelf, this cabinet is perfect for storing and displaying keepsakes, collections, or personal effects. This wall cabinet is constructed from sapele and a book matched panel of bocote, giving it a warm and elegant appearance.
I designed this table to fit behind a sofa or perhaps at the end of a hallway. It was one of my first attempts at integrating detailed veneer work into furniture with the inlaid squares of matched walnut burl. The rest of the table is made from solid ash and walnut. Another unique feature is the raised top, inspired by a table I restored at a previous job.
With similar color and texture to the table shown above, this nightstand offers a more traditional look with its shakeresque frame and panel sides and inset doors and drawers. However, the contrast between the walnut and red oak, alongside the funky curved seam in the doors keep this nightstand interesting and unique.
These closet doors were in dire need of restoration being previously finished in an old, yellowing white paint and sporting old-fashioned louvres for panels. The old paint was sanded away and replaced with a calming blue color while the louvres were replaced with solid plywood panels wrapped in tightly-woven burlap.
This cubby-style cabinet offers an opportunity to display larger items with excellent storage. The sleek, simplistic design paired with lighter toned birch construction fit very well in this Rancho Santa-Fe home. Finished with an oil-based polyurethane.
This arts and crafts table is comprised of two separable rolling desks which fit perfectly in this kid's play room. The "legs" of each desk are a pair of face frame cabinets with inset drawers finished in a soft, white urethane paint. The tops are made from birch butcher blocks which were custom stained to match the hardwood flooring and received a sprayed-on, water-based polyurethane topcoat. The cabinets sit on premium caster wheels for ease of movement; with the drawers mounted on Blum soft-close undermount slides. Two toggle clamps mounted on the undersides of each top allow the two desks to be clipped together.
Designed for coat and shoe storage, this nearly eight-foot tall cabinet fills the entryway to the this beautiful San Marcos home. The frame and panel design retains simplicity while adding a few extra lines to catch the eye. Finished in a semi-gloss urethane paint with Blum soft-close hardware.
